Patricia Whitaker

Patricia Whitaker, the founder of Back in Thyme, started studying herbal medicine in the early 90's and has continued to take classes, read many texts on herbs, keep up with current research on the web, and experiment with her own herbs. She left her chosen career as a medical assistant to pursue herbal medicine, and Back in Thyme was created. She had always enjoyed medical jobs and worked more independently than most nurses or MAs. She has worked with an endocrinologist for over 15 years and learned and incredible amount of information and patient care. The next 10 years, Patricia spent her time managing a protime clinic which contributed much to her learning.  This job influenced her to go into herbal medicine because of the amount of reasearch on herbs she did in the job.

Today Patricia continues to be an active participant in the Herbal community.

 How products are Made

 At Back in Thyme, products go through several phases before they are available to the consumer, either online or in the store.

1. Creative artists at Back in Thyme think of a new idea for a product.
2. After the idea is vetted, it will reach the production stage, where herbs are grown or diverted to the project and materials are bought. 
3. If all the materials and herbs needed can be practically obtained, the product is assembled, and samples are given out to test consumer satisfaction with the item. 
4. If there is enough consumer iterest, the item is put on sale in Back in Thyme's shop.
5. If the product is successful there, it is put on our website, and is officially Back in Thyme merchandise.
